About the Rotary Club of Adelaide Central

11 Top Reasons People Join Rotary

1)  Fellowship
Our members enjoy having a different group of friends in their lives
outside of their immediate family and work colleague networks!

2)  Business Networking opportunities
Mix with other businesses, not only in our Club,
but Rotarians from other Clubs locally, nationally and internationally.

3)  Guest Speakers
Rotary Adelaide Central has an amazing array of interesting speakers.
Enjoy hearing what inspired people are doing around our community
and local businesses.

4)  Speaking Opportunities
If you are in the workforce yourself or own a business,
why not do your own Guest Speaker spot to showcase what you do.
You never know where your next customer will come from.
Plus as a Rotarian you can then visit any other Rotary Club to do the same!
This is how Rotary STARTED in 1905 with its first four members
who's average age was 38!

5)  Giving Back
Many Rotarians find life satisfaction in also being able to
give something back to our community. Whether that is in the form
of time or monetary support towards lasting community projects
that improve others lives less fortunate than ourselves.

6)  Volunteering
The great thing about Rotary is that many hands make light work.
There is much satisfaction within our membership having
groups of people volunteering together to run projects,
knowing that we create lasting legacies for the future.

7)  Fun
The diversity of the people, the projects, the meetings,
the guest speakers, the fellowship days and the interaction
with other Rotarians from other Clubs is FUN.
Our members enjoy the social nature of Rotary.

8)  Professional Development
You would be surprised how many business people feel uncomfortable
speaking in public about themselves and/or their businesses.
Rotary has all manner of P.D. opportunities within its structure to help
members become more comfortable addressing others and
leading teams in their professional lives.

9)  Retirement
Amongst our membership are semi- and fully retired women and men
who were not prepared to leave the workforce and go cold turkey
with no ongoing professional interaction. In retirement, people love Rotary
for the social and structured networking opportunities to stay active and
connected with society. It gives people strong purposes in life!

10)  International Friends - go travelling!
With 32,000+ clubs in the world, spread across 200+ countries -
when Rotarians travel, there's always a Club nearby.
Rotarians love to visit other Clubs when they travel. Immediately, they
walk into a room of FRIENDS - other Rotarians who share the same ethics,
ideals and values. Travel knowing you're never far away from a
brand new friend or experience. An international support network -
and a LOT of fun. Add a new dimension to your next holiday
interstate or abroad. Drop in on a Rotary Club.

11)  Diversity
Our Club has members aged from their 20s to their 90s.
Women and Men. Working and Retired. From varying ethnic backgrounds.
This diversity of people ensures our Club is RICH with
personality and experiences. FUN
