Helping Families and Individuals doing it tough

Event Description:

Each month, our Club members love the support of the wider community with helping people who are struggling to survive during these harsh 'cost-of-living' economic times.

People often hear of the Homeless, and our Club does work with our Partner Charities to support these needy recipients.

But are there are also increasing numbers of families, often with children, struggling to put food on the table as they battle to keep a roof over their heads. Both rental and mortgage payments add huge pressure to their family's unavoidable weekly costs.

NON-PERISHABLE GROCERIES are the focus of Share the Care

While in Romeo's Foodland Supermarke, many generous shoppers pop an extra item or two in their trolleys and drop them on our Club's collection table as they leave. It's a wonderful gesture.

The supermarket regularly has great specials that help customers lend a hand without straining their own budgets. We don't ask people for a lot - even one extra item added to their expected shop, makes a great difference.

Sought after groceries:
• Non-Perishable foods – long-life milks, jams & spreads, canned soups, tea & coffee bags, pasta, & sauces
• Personal Hygiene products – dental, grooming and personal care
• Household Cleaning products – dishwashing liquid, laundry powder, multipurpose spray cleaners
• Pet Food and supplies – for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs & even fish.
... daily items we take for granted

Other compassionate people make a special trips to our drop off table, because they've found some items at home that they're overstocked with and are happy to donate.

All good quality, in date donations are appreciated. As we don't have refrigeration available, no perishable items can be accepted.
