Claus' Rotary career spans many years, with his original membership at Gawler East Club, later transferring to Rotary Adelaide West, before that Club's amalgamation with Adelaide South ... NOW Adelaide Central.

His career has been as a press maintenance engineer with The Advertiser Newspaper group.

Claus has always been an active Rotarian, assisting in many Club projects and fundraisers. In particular spearheading the Annual Motorcycle Expos both Gawler Light and Adelaide West clubs held for many years until the advent of COVID.

He is also an active member and regular contributor with the International Fellowship of Motorcycling Rotarians (IFMR) having helped organise and participated in many local, national and even International rides. These highly social Fellowships within Rotary are an excellent way to meet fellow Rotarians in other Clubs far and wide to build an even larger network of friends and colleagues.
