Supporting People In Need
Whether a member of Rotary or not, YOU can work with our Club in our appeal to gather together a range of food and products needed now by Homeless in our community and families affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Demand on assistance by Adelaide's charitable support network has sky-rocketed in recent months, both with the onset of winter and the pandemic. Families have had members lose their jobs or had hours reduced, making it difficult to make ends meet.
Rotary Adelaide Central is trying to respond by collecting warm, new blankets for the homeless on our streets, and for families doing it tough, a range of general 'non-perishable' household food items.
Maybe each time you visit the Supermarket, you can add an extra item to your cart. Over a year, that's 52 items, that can make a massive difference.
Many items can be purchased for around a $1 or $2. A pack of pasta. A toothbrush. Soap. Dishwashing Liquid. Canned tuna & meats. Canned veggies. Marniades & Flavours. Paper towel. Toilet paper. Deoderant ...
Basically, think of all the standard items you use in your household on a daily basis and your donation will be GREATLY appreciated.
Items can be dropped off to a City location (Katron Creative, 24 Oakley Street, Adelaide) right through to Christmas. Telephone Katrina Lister on 8231 0636 or 0405 023 977 for more info.
