Rotary District 9510 - South Australia
As of 1 July 2020
Rotary International Districts 9500 and 9520
will merge to become one new District ... 9510
The Rotary Club of Adelaide Central is one of 93 local Clubs grouped in Rotary International's District 9510. Our landmass covers most of South Australia - up into the southern Northern Territory - and western region of New South Wales.
There are 19 Districts across Australia containing 1,000+ Rotary Clubs.
Rotary International is a worldwide passionate organisation of 1.2 million men and women who dedicate some time giving back to their communities. There are 33,000+ clubs worldwide, across 200+ countries ... we are one big family.
Rotary is a very social orangisation. Camaraderie is high among members. Most clubs meet weekly or fortnightly over a meal at differing times. Membership comprises men and women from business and professional groups; retirees; and young people with a passion to get involved to support their community.
Corporate Memberships are a popular and modern way for Businesses and Organisations to support their communities, with employees of that organisation representing them as Rotarians.
Each club chooses to run local projects in their region, plus they will support the International work of Rotary as a whole, such as the End Polio Now program with an ambition to wipe Polio (and other diseases) from the face of the planet.
Members have the opportunity to participate in overseas exchange programs. Youth training and mentoring programs. Overseas humanitarian aid projects and so much more.
You can also explore the other District 9510 Clubs below. We invite you to contact your local Club to find out more.
You will be welcome to attend a club's meeting as a guest, offering you an opportunity to meet their team and find out more about their projects and passions.
